We Have Overwhelming Evidence Against Wanted Suspected Terrorists - Nigerian Army

The Nigerian army has said it has overwhelming evidence
against 100 wanted terrorists whose images were released
last week.
Speaking to Naij.com , the army spokesperson Sani Usman
said although the army would not divulge how it identifed
the suspects, he could only say that suspects were involved
in some form of terrorist activity.
“No, I don’t think we need to tell you how we came about them
but the fact remains that they are Boko Haram terrorists
suspects; they were involved in one form of terrorist activity or
the other,” Usman said.
He added that: “We have overwhelming documentary evidence
against them, each of those people you see there is none of
them that was not armed; some of them were even snapped
after decapitating a person holding their head.”
He said various sources which the army would not disclose
helped in gathering information and evidence against the
suspects in the released photographs.
Usman said one reason the military released the suspects’
photographs is to inform the public that these people have
been perpetrating acts of terrorism.
The BBC in one of its analyses said number 97 and 100 on
the banner containing the images released by the army is
the same person – the notorious most wanted terrorist,
Abubakar Shekau.
But Usman dismissed the claims by BBC saying they are
aimed at frustrating the military’s efforts to clear insurgents
in northeastern Nigeria.
