Nigeria's Golden Eaglets Beat Mali To Retain FIFA U-17 World Cup Title


Nigeria emerged the FIFA U-17 World Cup winner early this
morning after beating opponents Mali 2-0 in Vina Del Mar, Chile.
With a record breaking ten goals, top striker Victor Osimhen
fired the Nigerian side into the lead before Funsho Bamgboye
added a second moments later.
With the 2-0 victory against Mali in the final on Sunday,
Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have won the FIFA U-17 World Cup
trophy for a fifth-time record (1985, 1993, 2007, 2013 and 2015
respectively).
General Muhammadu Buhari was Head of State when Nigeria
won the 1st U17 World Cup in 1985, 30 years ago. Today, he is
President as Nigeria win 5th. Big congrats to all of us!
