Genevieve Nnaji Screens Movie At International Festival

Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji’s movie Road to
Yesterday will be screened at this year’s edition of the
Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
The movie, produced by the actress and directed by Ishaya
Bako, will be the last film to be screened at the festival.
According to Pulse, the movies will start showing at the
festival from Sunday, November 8 to Sunday, November 15,
at City Mall, Silverbird and Genesis Deluxe Cinemas.
Apart from Genevieve’s movie, others that will be screened
include Akin Omotosho’s Tell Me Something Sweet,
Desmond Elliot’s Reflections and Yared Zeleke’s Lamb.
AFRIFF artistic director Keith Shiri said the movies were
selected based on their African cinematic story telling.
He said “The selection in this edition is not only celebrating
African cinema but demonstrates once more that the cinematic
story telling industry in Africa has become more compelling and
visible.”
Road to Yesterday, which stars Genevieve Nnaji and
newcomer Ohis Erheuro, will premiere Wednesday,
November 18, in Lagos. Fans on Tuesday were teased with
stills of a steamy bathroom scene.
