50 Nigerian Deportees Arrive, UK To Deport 29,000 More
According to a source at Nigerian Immigration Service, the Spokesperson of the NIS, Mr. Ekpedeme King, confirmed the development, said the Nigerians were deported for immigration-related offences.
It was gathered that those alleged to have committed criminal offences were handed over to officers from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Apart from the 50 deportees, the UK was planning to deport 29,000 Nigerians back home.
The British Broadcasting Corporation had reported in the morning that a plane carrying about 500 Nigerians deportees from the UK had landed at the MMIA. The reported quoted some of the deportees as saying that they were not happy to come back.
Nigeria had recently expressed concern over the UK’s plan to deport 29,000 Nigerians, and has insisted that due process be followed before Nigerians are removed from the UK.

Aiye & Eiye Cult Clash Kills 3 In Shomolu Lagos
A rivalry war between members of two rival cults, Aiye and Eiye
led to the untimely death of 3 people in Shomolu area of Lagos
last Sunday.
The violence was centered around a member of the Aiye
fraternity, a tennis player identified as Azeez Akinwumi who was
killed by some Eye cultists a day before.
Last Sunday, about 9 members of the Aiye fraternity took to
Awoseyin, Odunlade and Agunbiade streets where they hacked
suspected members of the Eiye cult group to death.
It took the timely intervention of police to bring peace to the
community as over 10 people sustained serious injuries.

Kogi APC Governorship Candidate Audu Abubakar Confirmed Dead
the shocking death of Abubakar Audu, the gubernatorial
candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
According to Sahara Reporters, Audu died around 5 am on
Sunday, November 22. In what was considered a bizarre
occurrence, his health had suddenly started to deteriorate on
the night of Friday, November 20 when he started vomiting
blood.
A family source said: “ He started vomiting blood after he
returned from Lokoja,”
The family source said that the late politician was very tired
on the morning of the Election Day, Saturday, November 21
and doctors had to give him blood transfusion which
provided him with enough strength to go to his home town
in Ogbonicha to cast his vote.
The source added that when he returned to his home, he
started vomiting again.
“After a while he became unconscious and died around 5 a.m.
on Sunday morning,”
According to the source, Audu had died before the collation
and announcement of the result of the election which was
later declared inconclusive by the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC)
An INEC source also said that INEC officials were aware of
Audu’s death before the announcement of the results. The
late politician is expected to be buried on Monday,
November 23 in his home town according to Islamic rites
Meanwhile, Nigerians took to social media to express their
grief and dismay over the news of the death of Audu with
some praying for his soul to rest in peace.
3-Time Zimbabwe’s Ugliest Man Dethroned, Cries Foul Play
Zimbabwe, has been dethroned.
Masvinu quest for a fourth consecutive title suffered a major
setback after he was defeated by 42-year-old Maison Sere
at the pub pageant organized in Harare.
Maison Sere, who was missing several teeth and dressed in
torn overalls, beat off five other contestants (including
Masvinu) to emerge winner of the competition.

Sere walked away with $500 (about N100, 000) cash prize
as the winner, which amounts to quite a large sum in a
country facing massive unemployment.
Sere told newsmen: “I want to thank God for winning this title,

However, despite a second place finish, William Masvinu,
who walked off with a $100 (about N20,000), cried foul.

He said: “The judges were not fair, the organisers must look for
new judges to start the contest afresh. I did not lose today.”
Show organiser David Machowa said he created the pageant
in 2012 to celebrate “beauty in ugliness”.
“The show last night was very successful, and I still have plans
to host Mr Ugly world,” he said.
The organisers of the event also plan to launch a female
version of the competition and expand it to other African
countries.
In 2012 when Mr Masvinu won the ‘beauty pageant’, there
were only five participants. He won $100 dollars and a
voucher for a night’s stay at a hotel, which he changed for
food. Masvinu hoped that the victory would bring him
advertising contracts but his expectations didn’t meet
reality.

Report Ranks Nigeria As world ’s Third Most Terrorised Country
the third most terrorized country in the world up from the
fourth position it occupied last year.
Of
the
162
countries of the world that have been worst hit by terrorist
attacks, Nigeria, in the latest ranking, follows Iraq and
Afghanistan, who were ranked first and second respectively.
Pakistan and Syria are ranked fourth and fifth to complete
the top five most terrorised countries.
The only countries in Africa closer in ranking to Nigeria are
Somalia and Libya which occupied the eighth and ninth
positions respectively.
The report, released on November 16, 2015 by the Institute
for Economics and Peace, said the Islamist terror group in
Nigeria, Boko Haram, overtook ISIS in 2014 to become the
most deadly terrorist organization in the world.
The 2015 GTI report observed that Boko Haram, in 2014,
was also able to spread outside Nigeria to launch two
deadly attacks in neighbouring Cameroon, killing 530
people.
Cameroon, the report said, did not record any death from
terrorism between 2000 and 2013 until Boko Haram struck
in 2014.
It was however made clear that although the GTI report was
published in November 2015, the data used in producing it
were gathered last year.
